Micro-Giving 2018

“It was so uplifting to have all the happy, smiling faces at the farm. What an amazing way to teach kids the value of giving. Yesterday was a day that changed many lives. I will long remember the joy on those precious little children's faces and families working together.”

- Lila Chapman, Barn Place community farm, Woodinville, WA

Camp Kindness Counts empowers kids to feel their thoughts, voice, and actions matter and can make a positive impact in their communities and the world. Through community service, activities that encourage kindness, and bringing awareness through mindfulness exercises, kids are inspired to lead with kindness and compassion.

Camp Kindness Counts was born in 2012 envisioning a world where kids can express their authentic selves and be confident, curious, and productive youth who will lead their communities and schools to adopt a culture of kindness and compassion.

We believe that in order to create positive change for children, we need to involve everyone: schools, communities, parents, and of course, our kids.

 - We’ve grown from working with 16 elementary students in 2012 to impacting more than 8000 kids and 200 parents and teachers during the past 6 years.

- We are excited to be partnering with the UC Berkeley's Greater Good Science Center, Bellevue School District, Eastside Pathways, and Green Redmond Partnerships, among others, to offer high quality programming to students and families.

- We work with wonderful organizations like Friends of Youth, Puget Soundkeepers and the Humane Society, serving the elderly, homeless, animals, and our environment together with our community of families.

Our 2018-2019 growth plan is to expand our programs to reach more youth, grow our team and create a stronger influence in underserved communities. Currently half of our funding comes from generous donations and sponsorships, and we are looking for organizations or individuals who feel connected to our mission and could offer us new resources to broaden our impact. I invite you to browse our website to learn about our team, programs and testimonials.

Let’s connect with kindness!
