COMMUNITY - FAMILY SERVICE PROJECTS
Help make a difference in our community by joining a Family Service Project!
1. Every month, we offer a different community service opportunity for people of all ages. The Family Service Projects focus on practicing a specific character strength during our service.
2. Families participate in the community service as a group at a designated location while following COVID-19 guidelines.
3. Families are encouraged to join us for a short reflection time where we can share how we felt after our experience of service, and how we can continue building on our character and serving others.

Join us as we practice CREATIVITY this month with your friends and families through writing letters, drawing pictures, and creating other forms of art for local senior centers!
When: Sunday, July 31st, 2022
@ 12:00-1:00 pm
Where: East Shore Unitarian Church - 12700 SE 32nd St, Bellevue, WA 98005
Who: Everyone is welcome. Let your friends know!
Kind Act: Showing kindness through creativity with both words and/or visual art
Character Strength: Creativity
Our community service will end with a reflection. During this time we will reflect as a group about the importance of finding a way for everyone to contribute to different projects, even though everyone has different strengths and skill sets to begin with. Take a moment to think about how YOU felt practicing your chosen form of CREATIVITY.
Everyone will need to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
Basic materials will be provided but please feel free to bring your own art supplies if you have something in particular you would like to work with. Please be respectful of the venue and do not bring anything that could cause a mess, or bring proper protective materials (ie. newspapers to go underneath if you would like to paint).
Join us as we practice CURIOSITY this month with your friends and families. We will be helping to harvest crops this Fall with the Food Bank Farm!
When: Tuesday, September 25th @ 2:00-4:00 PM
Where: TBD (Greater Seattle Area)
Who: Everyone is welcome! Feel free to invite or share with friends.
What to bring: gardening gloves, close-toed shoes (rain boots are ideal), and clothes that can get dirty
Kind Act: Help harvest crops and explore the variety of plants and agriculture there are in the PNW!
Character Strength: Curiosity
During this time we will reflect as a group and share the service we did, how we felt, and how we can continue building on our character and be of service to others and understand what makes us curious and how to explore it!
