COMMUNITY - FAMILY SERVICE EVENTS
Help make a difference in our community by joining or planning a Family Service Event!
1. Every month, we offer a different community service opportunity for people of all ages. The Family Service Events focus on practicing a specific character strength such as empathy, compassion, or generosity during our service.
2. Families participate in the community service as a group at a designated location while following COVID-19 guidelines.
3. Families are encouraged to join us for a short reflection time where we can share how we felt after our experience of service, and how we can continue building on our character and serving others.

What: Donation drive & gift wrapping/kindness note making**
When: Sunday, October 25th, 10am-12pm
Where: Highland Community Center -Art Room

Who: Everyone is welcome. Let your friends know!
Kind Act: Families will collect and bring non-perishable food, new or nearly new toys, books and clothing for families in our community experiencing financial difficulty or homelessness. We will make kindness notes and gift wrap some items for donation to local organizations for the upcoming holiday season. **Consider doing a small donation drive with your colleagues, other families, groups, organizations, sports teams, faith community or other groups you belong to! Bring those donations to our event to be wrapped, a gift note added and organized into donation boxes for distribution after the event**

Kind Act: Making dental hygiene kits for local families in need
